Watching the Red Sox and Yankees series and I am enjoying it thouroughly. I have no rooting interest, in fact, they could both lose if it were somehow possible and it would suit me fine. But I am enjoying it more than any games I've seen all year.
Also, some of my fondest memories of girlfriends are the ones who I didn't half care about and just played with. But now I remember them more fondly than the ones I actually cared about.
So then, can we not conclude that apathy makes the heart grow fonder?
